There is backpacker food, and then there is food made while backpacking. Photographs by Yusuke Kurosawa found on his blog Ridge which is a nice place to see where he’s been and the gear he’s using as well as read some jumbled translations if your browser is capable to do so.

Nice find. I’m still trying to figure out how to eat better on backpacking trips. I usually have no spare room for better ingredients that won’t get crushed, go bad, or take up too much space and so I end up eating bagels, cheese, sausage, trail mix, oatmeal, freeze dried meals etc. Any tips?
Cold Splinters has some good food posts including recipes and Backpacker also has a bunch of recipes that include at home prep steps.
