The Burning House

Big ups to Foster for starting this project, I’m impressed with how fast it took off. My selection as follows: my North Face pack, Barbour Bedale, Contax T2, box of most recent negatives (going back about 4 years), my cat Williams, and the indian blanket. For more entires and information about the project visit The Burning House.

Hansel from Basel

A few 645 Polaroids shot by Nicholas Haggard of Miranda July for LA based Hansel from Basel– full lookbook to be come. As a big fan of July I’m really anticipating the release of her new film The Future which, funny enough, comes out this July.

Japanese Style

I think this post speaks for itself but I’m a big fan of Japanese style. Pictured are some fine uses of olive drab, breton stripes, camo, and a sort of Japanese sprezzatura for lack of better words. Image sources and places of interest: Men’s Club, Public, United Arrows, Beams,  Zabou, & I Would Hit That.

Acme Furniture

Spreads from Acme‘s spring catalog in which three unique American homes are visited as a backdrop for their products. These are from a surfer’s home in California and the others include a farmer’s home in Dallas and a leather craftsman in Soho. See the whole catalog here.

Cycle Truck

A little more than your average grocery-getter, cycle trucks have been around for some time- Worksman has been making theirs in the USA since 1898. Some of the best retro trucks I’ve come across have been old Schwinn models but clean ones are hard to come by, I’m sure most of them have been worked to death. This particular bike I came across has a wooden Bethlehem Steel crate attached to it, I can’t imagine the loads it has had to transport in it’s prime. Contemporary builders and companies offering their own versions include Ahearne, Civia, and Workcycles.
