The Singing Brakeman

This short film is kind of like a music video circa 1930. Jimmie plays Waiting for a Train, Daddy and Home, and of course Blue Yodel No. 1. Watch

A.P.C.arhartt

This Thursday the line of collaborations by APC and Carhartt will be released, this fall has seemed to be full of work and street wear collaborations: Levis and Filson, Filson and Vans, Pointer and Urban Outfitters and now this (and there’s a good chance I’m leaving out some that I just plain don’t know about). I’m interested in what the price points will look like especially since the originals are so affordable. The press release mentioned new fabrics and alterations to the original cuts which is expected if it’s to fit into Touitou’s showrooms.

today’s fall kit

Finally a nice cool morning ride to work, luckily the rain stopped pouring as soon as I stepped out the door. Assembled totem pole style: Rothco cap, Oliver Peoples specs, SD 60/40, Levis 510, and Eastland Falmouth.

01 group show

I have a couple photos in this show that’s opening in exactly two weeks from today. The show was originally up in Toronto but I’m happy that it’s moved stateside so I actually get to see it.

Pictured is Stephen Bilenky himself with one of the biggest head tubes I’ve ever seen in my life and a beard that channels Sheldon Brown’s spirit. Stephen is the man behind the first and upcoming Philadelphia Bike Expo on Halloween weekend which I’m pretty excited about because there’s bound to be some good rides and races to take part in as well loads of great vendor booths.
