Nearly a year ago I installed a set of Portland Design Works’ Full Metal Fenders on my Lemond. The original design was optimized to fit road bikes that were never meant to fit a set of proper full-coverage fenders. New to 2014 is a much wider model that fit tires from 28mm to 38mm, the original road fenders are rated to fit 23’s but I found some 25’s to fit pretty well. At $120 they’re not exactly the cheapest set of fenders on the market but they boast features others don’t- strong quality hardware, drill-free installation, and strong anodized aluminum construction. Swoop a set from PDW directly or from your local bike shop.
