Aspesi
Marketing images ca.1995-8 from Italian brand Aspesi, a refreshing contrast to the current ‘model pensively staring into a natural landscape’ lookbook trend. All black and white photographs that appear above were taken by Robert Frank who worked with the brand on three books.

Cross Fan
Photographs by Chris Milliman whom you might recognize for his newsprint zine Home and Away that he did for Freeman Transport last spring. These photos were taken in Flanders, a region located in present day France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, well known for its love of cyclocross. Cyclocross is certainly more of an exciting spectator sport (to me) than road racing where you simply stake out a spot and wait for the peloton to pass by- though you can’t really tell if these fans are having much fun or are just standing around getting pissed (and then peeing on things). Read on for a cross fan kit..

Filson & Film
A good camera bag is hard to come by and personally I’ve never really found or owned one I particularly liked very much. Why not just turn a good bag into a good camera bag with a help of a padded insert or do it yourself?

The Wagoneer

Beautiful and functional machines pre-dating today’s monsters. Produced from 1963 to ’91 and dubbed the ‘Grand’ Wagoneer after ’84. The last specimen is an ’89 customized by Tommy Hilfiger in honor of his 25th anniversary that was auctioned this past November for charity. The custom ’89 was also featured in Hilfiger’s FW10 marketing campaign ‘Meet the Hilfigers’ including this spot and moving lookbook [making of] answering the age old question: how many preps can you fit into a Jeep Wagoneer?

Weekend at Yvon’s
I don’t generally share my ebay finds with others unless it’s not my size or if the buy it now is too rich for my blood. These however were just too good to not share.
